EH&S's Occupational Health and Safety team coordinated a grain bin rescue training with the Ames Fire Department in June 2024. The Iowa State Research Farm was tearing down a grain bin, so the fire department practiced cutting on a standing bin, which the trainer said was his first opportunity to cut a bin in his 30+ year career.
