Biosafety Level 2 Laboratories and You

This course is designed to inform personnel working in a BSL2 about the procedures and practices they should be aware of when working in the lab.

Participants will learn what biohazardous materials are, where they are found, principle routes of exposure, proper PPE, universal precaution, common techniques in a BSL2, decontamination of and disposal of biological materials, lab equipment used in a BSL2, engineering controls, reporting procedures, signage, and standard operating procedures.
